Denim&lace

Beeing addicted to some of my clothes, now I have the power and the instruments to prolong its existance.
So here's how my mini MANGO denim skirt tranformed into a midi skirt.
And of course a lot of my inspiration comes from pinterest.

Kinda love this combination for this skirt.
It was my first complicated pattern. An poor me had to redo it twice. I don't believe I'm a perfectionist, but I think my type of body shape doesn't allow a lot of mistakes.
But the best part is that I can wirl in this skirt!!! Like a princess!

Dad's art

I was almost havin a heart attack when I saw my dad's art on his running pants.
OMG! That was a face palm to my handy sewing craft.
Of couse, after debating a while, he agreed that I can improve things:)
So I did!!!

My leatherette success

This is the first time I'm almost 100% happy with my tailoring result.
Of course this skirt came out completely different from what is was on the magazine picture. But so is everything I do. Not every style suits me, so I adapt a new turn and make the best out of it.
I would defenitely give credit to my father, who got involved in this process with me and helped me with cutting the pieces. It is much funnier to do it with him.
We adjust the fabrics, play with cutting angles, reconsider magazine advice's and do it on our own at the end. It is creation we are talking about afterall:)
Plus to my dids, I saw plenty of leather skirts all over the trend magazines.And I even haven't expect it to be so popular this year.
Lucky me.

World in a hoody

D'you know what our happiness is?
It's two smiling faces covered with a hoody on the train. And the whole World can wait. We have ours.
We giggle, kiss and lough... just like two little squirrels:)
And we love, love, love!

The Lesson

Particulary me, today, learned a lesson.
 A lesson of giving. Giving the things we like, love and own, but along with the fact that everything in this life is temporary, the things we have to learn to give up. Willing or unwilling. Especially unwilling.
It is hard to not get mad at myself. But it's even harder to realise it's not the life I'm losing, it's just a few things somebody needs more than me.
Still learning...always learning...

Love stream!

Our Temple of Love got a *little* flooded yesterday, but it was cool bonding time.
We realised that it is a lot of fun to share *creepy unconfortable moments like that together.
And it's a hug that takes it all away afterwards.

Hobby tailoring.

Being properly addicted to my New Year's wishes, I've made my weekends devoted to some tailoring stuff. Whether it's adjustment of some old thing, restyling or even creating new ones, I make sure something is done.
As I've got plenty of fabrics last year, I thought it's about time to incorporate it into some winter outfits. So I began with a jacket out from faux fur.
It's winter and with some easy-teasy satin blouse it would be perfect in the office.
Initially, I thought I'lle ask my hubs to cut the fabrics, but he was working and I didn't want to leave till evening.
So I began...this torture. I've injured my fingers pretty well with small scissors and that is why I am DEF! going to purchase some tailoring once. It hurts and it's ugly. God Bless my jacket worth it:)
It came out a little bit bulky, but the scene is looking quite messy and unrepeatable and a waist belt could emphasize just fine.
Some knitted hooks will update the item as well.
